Assorted Blooms and Boquete

Hi Everyone. It has been a couple of very busy weeks with everything up in the air about where we are going to live. We asked the owner of the house if they would renew the lease on the house and at first they said no but then changed their minds so we took the opportunity to look for a house in Boquete, Panama. We were looking at this area because it is at a higher elevation than here so it would be cooler as this has been the hottest wet season and the temperature here is about 10 degrees more than it should. We did not find a place but the area is absolutely the nicest place you can imagine. It is surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation and coffee plantations with rivers and numerous waterfalls. We are going to move there as soon as we can.

I thought I would show you some of the blooms that we have encountered in our travels. Hope you like them.

Surprise

Yes, this is Clyde- The Mad Tatter's blog. For the last couple of days when I go to compose my blog they are advertising new layouts for your blog. Last night I decided to have a look at them and if you are in the mood to jazz up your blog it is great. There are 100's of pictures, layouts, patterns and then you can customize the colours and it is really easy and fast. Have a look I think you will be tempted.

THANK YOU

I would like to start this posting with a huge Thank You and HUG to all who blessed me with warm thoughts, words and prayers for without them I would not have made it through the past 6 days.

The surgery went well but the hospital stay was criminally harmful and negligent. I will go no further than to say that it is going to take a while to heal from the emotional damage and scarring, but I am strong and I will get better.

I am home know and I think today I feel like I may just be able to pick up my shuttles and do a little tatting which I am sure will speed up my recovery. I am looking forward to healing and living with I hope what will be less pain.

May the thread flow gently from your shuttles and needles as you watch the sunset on a day that when you really and honestly look at it was a pretty good day. ( At least that is my wish for you.)

This is a picture of tropical flowers that Laura, Tattycat, sent me to cheer me up and it worked. I think they are wonderful and they remind me of my trips to Hawaii.

Beautiful Flowers

I don't know about others but to me it is a feel good moment when I receive a thank you card for something I have done for someone.

What makes it even more special is when you receive one that looks like this.

Every thank you card is special but when it is a card that is hand made just for me it makes me feel real special. This card is a thank you card that I received from Linda Davies for test tatting her Starburst Doily. When I test tat patterns for other tatters I do not expect anything in exchange, I am just happy to help out but Linda sent this card along with a couple of goodies that made my day. The flower arrangement on the front of the card is exquisite and is surely a labour of love. Each flower is a work of art and together they make a treasure. This is one item of tatting that I will deffinately be framing. Thank You Linda!

Well spring is trying to break through and the first true sign of spring as far as the parks go is my partners' creation of the pansy tree. It is nice to see such a colourful and unique display to start the garden season. This year I am looking forward to mosaic sculptures of a peacock and a turtle. I will be sure to post pictures for those who may be interested.
