I Hate Mistakes

Well I was putting off posting until I had finished the last round on the doily I am Tatting. I finished it last night and was looking at it this morning and realized that there were two mistakes in it so I had to cut off the final round and start again because I hate mistakes in my Tatting. I hope to get enough time this week to do it again and will post it as soon as it is finished.
Bye for now.

I don't think anyone has escaped that awful realisation when admiring a "finished"piece of tatting! Horrible when it happens, and the best thing to do is to leave it alone for a few days until you feel calmer. We can wait for a blog post!

I don't hate all mistakes but some of my doilies have seen the scissors, sometimes it is the only way.

I confess I really struggle with it, too, Clyde. It's even more frustrating when I don't notice it until weeks or months later when I'm looking at the doily or an image of it, and the mistake just jumps out at me. I'm sitting here wondering how I could possibly have missed that!

I think that little mistakes are signs a job is made by a human not a machine, maybe inside mistakes there is a soul of thing :-)
