Weekend's Inspiration

The bride and groom. This wedding almost did not happen as Shannon's husband works in the military and was not given leave permission until noon on the day before the wedding. Then we had a major snow storm so his flight was cancelled. Poor Greg had to drive 24 hours straight and arrived at 2pm on Saturday for the 4:30 wedding.

Thursday's Inspiration and Wedding

For those of you who do not know my daughter was going to be having her wedding at the end of march in Winnipeg, Manitoba which is a 2 hour car ride to the airport the 1 1/2 our flight and then a 3 hour car ride to her place which I could not do. So when I called her to say I would not be able to make it she hopped on a flight and arrived on January 16 and planned her whole wedding from scratch and it was held on February 9. I did not get the time I wanted to tat for her wedding so I made her this small tatted Celtic Heart for her something blue.

Tuesday's Inspiration and Wedding

My daughter, Gregg and I went out shopping for veils and the only ones that I liked where the cathedral length ones which started out at $600.00. My daughter came up with the idea of us making her one and found a video on how to make one but it was going to take too long so she said " Dad we are going to make one using a hot glue gun to attach the lace." I was not crazy on the idea but it turned out great and she was able to have a 17 foot long veil for under $50 because the lace she picked out was old stock in the store and had some yellowing in it bought we bought a box of lace whitener and it came out perfect. Shannon and I walking down the isle. One very proud Dad.
