I do not know about everyone else where they are living but we are in a major heatwave that is going to last for at least the 4 next days. Yesterday the temperature reached 44C or 111F. With temperatures like this I think even the concrete wants to melt.

Usually it's hard to grow grass under a tree.
111 is very warm! It was 118 when we went to Tucson to have Loyal's hip re checked at 12 wks out. It was 105 at 6 PM! Just ridiculous. I know one thing; if I lived in Tucson, I'd loose a lot of weight. Who feels like when it is 105 and up! Not me!
Also, really liked your thought of the day…In the NT book of Galatians it says a lot about putting off (negative) and putting on (positive) attributes. Same concept…
