Well I am spending the Christmas holidays fighting pneumonia and a sinus infection so I am not getting a lot accomplished but I did manage to tat this delightful snowflake. My latest adventure with HDT is Jon Yusoff's "Quantiesque" Snowflake tatted in Marilee's (YarnPlayer's) Fern HDT size 50. I love this snowflake for a couple of reasons, the Celtic knot twisting between rows 1 and 2 and I love how the picots line up to present themselves as accents to the rings and the way the chains in the middle of the snowflake look like a flower. If you have not tried tatting this snowflake yet I would highly recommend it. Although it may look complicated Jon has provided excellent directions and they are very easy to follow so do not be afraid to try it.

Oh get well soon Clyde! That is no way to spend the holidays. Your snowflake is stunning in Fern. What a lovely marriage of pattern and thread.
Hugs my friend!
Hope you are feeling much better now! The snowflake looks like it has been transformed into a spring blossom. Beautiful!
Thank you Tattingchic I think the snowflake in Fern is lovely to. Thank you for the hugs Heather they are sure to make me feel better. I agree LadyShuttleMaker that the pattern and the thread are a perfect match. Thank you YarnPlayer I also think that the pattern of this snowflake looks like a flower blossom in the middle. It is such a beautiful pattern.
Lovely snowflake, hope you feel better soon.
Christmas is no time to be sick with pneumonia and a sinus infection. Or anything else for that matter! I do hope you will be much better soon. The snowflake is beautiful. I knew you would love tatting it.
What a beautiful snowflake! I hope you feel better soon!
it's interesting how different colours used for the same snowflake changes the effect and mood. i'd just happened to see celtic dream weaver's purple variegated and white snowflake, then Jon's original and now yours... all so beautiful but very different. way to go, tatter!
hope you are much better from your flu already, clyde.

I really did enjoy tatting this snowflake and have started another in the same thread. It really is amazing how different it turns out when tatted in different colours and in different types of thread.
This is a lovely piece of work.
