A Great Tatting Day

The Fringe Element Tatting Days where a big success. I attended the Saturday events and had a wonderful time. It was so nice to get together with a bunch of tatters and be able to talk about what you are doing and everyone understands. I attended a workshop led by Ruth Perry and she taught us a Celtic maple leaf. I will show a picture when I make one with the HDT I am expecting from Marilee. (YarnPlayer) Ruth was a great teacher with lots of patience and an easy going manner that made everyone comfortable and confident in there tatting. Lots of other classes where offered and when we first arrived we received a wonderful goodie bag. The facilitators also where prepared and had chocolate available at every table. ( a must for tatting ) There where lots of vendors and raffles and an auction. All in all it was a wonderful day.

Will you have pictures to share?

I'm so glad that you got to go and had a good time. I have never been around many other tatters, especially all at one time! I'm sure it was a special experience.

That tat day sounds wonderful. I am a bit envy also, I would love being able to go to one someday.
Looking forward to see the leaf done in HDT.

That is wonderful that you were able to go to this fun event!
BTW, I just checked, and your HDT was mailed Sept. 18. It would have been nice if it had arrived in time for the tatting day, but the mail is just slow, sometimes.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing your leaf when it is finished.

I look forward to seeing your Celtic leaf! Wow, an art form that requires chocolate! That's MY kind of requirement! :)

It is really special to be able to go to a tatting day with a group of other tatters. I wish you all could have been there. Jo, it is my understanding that all forms of art require chocolate. I am looking forward to posting pictures of the finished leaf.
