We have finally finished planting our gardens and I wanted to give everyone a view of what our backyard looks like when it is first planted. Keep in mind that we are under snow for 5 to 6 months a year and I think you will be amazed at the tropical getaway that we create for ourselves to enjoy each year. All the palms are real. For more pictures click here. I hope you enjoy the view and when the gardens come into full bloom I will post new photos.

Beautiful! I wish I was sitting there right now. It must be very joyful to have your own tropical garden the months you aren't covered by snow.

Wow, that is really nice that you do that for yourself. You guys are quite the horticulturists, aren't you?

I just read back my last comment--and it sounds like something Yoda would say! LOL Sorry about that! I need to learn to proofread before I hit "publish". :)

Oh, how pretty! I'd love to relax in our "tropical paradise" but it's too chilly today and the mosquitoes are out of control! I thought mosquitoes were supposed to stay in Minnesota and Canada!
